God has a sense of humor!

All of these pictures have been taken within 24 hours!Yesterday morning, Corbin using his bubble machine on the back deck in flip flops!!!
8:30 last night, snow started coming
This morning, several inches of white to show us that God has a sense of humor! (Even if we don't think it's very funny.)

Goofy Pics

Corbin now is great at pulling all his clothing out of the drawers! On Monday, he decided it was time to pack up and head out. He put some clothes in his mini-wagon and pulled it all over the house! It's kind of hard to see, but it was so cute!
This morning while Corbin was eating his cereal, he picked up a book and starting reading!
I am trying to get the motivation to finish my massive list before the baby arrives. One thing on the list is to clean and organize Corbin's closet and the nursery closet! The organization started today! Corbin found these flip flops in the basket of clothes for the next size up. He wore them all morning! They are still big, but he likes them a lot!
He also decided that since he had "shoes" on, that meant it was time to go outdoors...so we went and used our bubble machines on the back deck.
Aren't the flip flops super cute???

Paint!

Corbin's room is painted!!!
Now, we just need it to air out for a couple days!

And, we got some Go, Diego, Go! bedding for him! So, when the room is all put together I will post the full view!

Last nights trip!

Yesterday, we decided to take a trip to Walmart! (For those of you that don't understand why that is such a trip, we live in the middle of nowhere!) We have been trying to find the energy to get Corbin's room started and now that we finally do...we need supplies!
We also made a night of it and visited some friends, Luke and Jeanette! We had a wonderful time and ate some really great food!
Corbin decided that since the sun was in his eyes he needed some sun glasses! So cute!
What a goober!

Winter Boots

For some reason, now that the season is over, all Corbin wants to wear are his boots. He even wants to wear them all around the house! I think he likes that they have velcro on them so he can tighten and loosen them as he pleases. He has also learned to talk off and put on his pants....thus no pants in these pictures!
He got into the drawer in our kitchen with our dixie cups and he was balaning them on his knees!
I have a video also that doesn't seem to upload...I will try again later.

New bed and fun faces!

We were originally going to just jump right to the twin bed because we didn't want to spend money on a toddler bed, but some friends happened to be getting rid of theirs, so Corbin will be transitioning into a toddler bed instead! We have a lot left to do to get his new room ready...hopefully it will all get accomplished before the baby arrives (in 11 weeks....can't believe it!!)!
Corbin was trying to figure out every piece to the bed.
And we always get some silly faces, even though it's a little blurry, it's pretty funny!
Yesterday, Corbin handed me the camera and smiled really big! He knows what the camera is for and was so excited to have a picture taken!

Feeling Better!

Thank you so much for all your prayers! We are still on the mend, but actually starting to feel human again! Joel is still a little under the weather. Corbin and I don't have any runny nose or coughing anymore....just are really tired. Hopefully the recovery for Joel is soon and we will all be a healthy family again!

Praying for Recovery

I believe this has been the most difficult week for us in a very long time! We have all been hit with this horrible cold! We try to rest, but because of coughing or Corbin's energy level (despite being sick, he still has his energy) we don't get as much in as we really need! We spent the entire week inside our house...except a few trips to the Dr. and to rent some movies! We have our medications all over the counter in our kitchen! I can't believe how many we have and how long it seems to be taking them to work! Anywho...we should be better soon, Lord willing! Along with this cold Corbin has been teething. I don't know which one is the cause, but he really hasn't been eating much (and he is already in the 7%, he doesn't need to get lower).
This picture is hilarious! Corbin really needed a bath!!! He loved splashing around in the warmth of the bath water! Usually he comes out full energy. So, when he climbed out and snuggled into the towel looking just like a little baby, I made Joel run and get the camera! Of course, Corbin didn't like the idea of looking like a baby, so he spazed while the photo was being taken!
It has been so nice outside! Every day I open the curtains and wish I had the energy to go for a walk! The only thing we seem to be able to do outside is a quick round of bubbles! Corbin loves bubbles! In fact, the word "bubbles" sends him running right to the patio door! It's only a 10 minute trip outside....the perfect amount of fresh air to help us feel a bit better.
Quick funny story:
Corbin loves being outside! Even when he was really sick, he would still run to the patio door for the opportunity to get outside! One of the nights (it's a blur, don't remember which night) when Joel wasn't home, Corbin really wanted to go outside. I told him if he wanted to go outside he had to bring me his pants (took them off for his diaper change and ran away before I could get them back on him)...so what does he do, he brings me his pants and starts to put his leg in!!! It was so cute! Then I told him he needed to get a sweatshirt and he did...along with socks and shoes. You can't say no to that, can you??? I couldn't! So, despite our illnesses, we went outside for a little bit! Corbin even kept his hood up the entire time! Nothing usually stays on his head! I guess he needed the fresh air!!!
(We are all really looking forward to being better so we can enjoy the outdoors and not the computer screen!!!)

This is the cold...

...that never ends! It has been over 3 weeks of sickness in our house!!! Emily started out with a cold, then Joel got it, and now we are all 3 dealing with different variations of this miserable cold! So, if you think of us when you say your prayers, please say a prayer for us, too! Thank you!

Big Boy Bed

I still can't believe that we are already to this point!!! I still call him baby!!! Corbin's new room is getting all the furniture so he can get used to it a bit before we officially kick him out of the nursery for baby #2! He was so excited there was no way he would sleep in there! He jumped on the bed, jumped off the bed, ran around the room, ran in circles, hugged the pillow, did a little more jumping on the bed and then it was time for bed in his crib.
He did try in between the sheet for a few seconds...but pretty much just for this picture!
Then, Monday afternoon, Corbin napped in his big boy bed! It was strange to have him wake up and walk out of the room. Actually, he stood in the hallway and when I went to grab a snack he just starred up at me still half asleep (scared me a bit)!!!
I must admit this is a pretty emotional time! Pregnancy is never easy on emotions anyway, but adding to it that my baby is a toddler and having to make all those transitions....it's harder than I thought! He still puts his head on my shoulder when he's tired...so in a way he is still my baby. In a few more months there will be a new baby in the house and Corbin really will look big, but until then, I am going to enjoy my "baby"!

An Afternoon Outdoors

It has been so beautiful outside since we got back from our trip! Sunny and melting snow! It's been so nice for Corbin to get outside without putting on all the layers just to sit in a sled! Corbin in the sandbox, his favorite place outside!
Last fall, Corbin didn't really like the swing set too much...but now, he loves it!
He doesn't stay in it long, but he likes to be pushed high! He giggles like crazy!!
This swing he can get on all by himself! I didn't get any pictures of him on the slide, but that was a new toy for him and he really let loose!!! He was even climbing up the ladder himself! I think he went down 12 times in a row...3 times throughout our time outside!!!
We also went for a walk. Corbin didn't mind holding onto my hand on the way to visit Joel and the church, but wanted nothing to do with me on the way home...so he sat down on the curb and took a break! It was pretty funny actually.
Corbin really likes to splash in the puddles too! I don't have any pictures, but that is the reason he is wearing those boots! He makes sure to get me wet!!! He soaked himself good once!
I hope this weather is here to stay! It is so nice to see the snow melting and the grass turning green!!

Gpa & Gma H

Corbin loves to play with our real camera, so we bought him a fake so he can capture memories of his own. He thinks it's great to push the button! Taking a "picture" of Gpa & Gma.
Corbin and Gma
Corbin giving Gma a big, sloppy kiss
Corbin giving Gpa a big hug (missed the kiss)
So sweet!!!
"Come again soon!" love, Corbin

Trip Out West! - Scenery

On the train we took several pictures...I am really surprized that some of them turned out as well as they did! We saw all of Montana and some of Glacier the first day on the train and the next morning we got to see the Columbia Gorge! It was beautiful...too bad we couldn't get off and take a closer look! Montana
Columbia Gorge
My aunt drove us to Silver Falls. There was some really strange weather going on in Oregon...snow, hail, rain (that's not strange), and sun all in one hour!!!
Beautiful Falls!

These are pictures of the Coast at various points!

Lots of great pictures...beauty is everywhere!!!

Trip Out West! - Last Day

On Monday, our last day in Oregon, we went over to my Grandma's apartment and ate lunch with her. Corbin really liked going for walks with her walker!
They had a really nice room off the dining area for us.
Then Corbin rode back to Great Grandma's room on G.G.'s lap. It was so sweet!!!
3 generations

My grandma really enjoys candy, especially M&M's. That is one thing that we all share!!! (And Corbin has inherited it too!!!)

It was such a great trip! The train ride home went really fast and was event-free!!!

Thank you so much to everyone!!! We can't wait to come see you again!!!

Trip Out West! - Sunday Drive

Sunday morning we worshipped at my aunt and uncle's "church". It is in a school gym. It was a really fun service, worship music and all!!! It was great to have a change of pace from our worship...crazy many different ways there are to praise God!!!
After church, we went out to a pizza place with my cousin Judy and her family. I didn't get any pictures...but it was fun!
Then, we took a drive to my cousin Steve's place up in the mountains! It is a gorgeous home with an amazing view!!! The kids enjoyed playing with bubbles...tested them in the house and then moved outside to make a big sticky mess on the deck!!!
Corbin loved this bubble maker! No blowing necessary...just push the button!
This is the view from their deck. On a clear day, you can see both Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helen's!
Steve's kids are very talented with their fiddles! They played serveral songs for us from memory!!!
And here is the bunch! My cousin Steve's family on the left, my aunt and uncle in the center, Joel, my mom, Corbin and I (horrible picture of me) and my grandma in the chair!
It was such a fun day!
