After the baptism, we had an Open House.

Elias' Baptism

Sunday was such a special day! It was a day to be amazed by God's grace!!!
Emily's brothers, Simon and Evan are his Godfathers! (they like the title "godfather") Joel's dad, George baptized him. It was fun to have grandpa be part of the special day. Thank you for your roles in this important event (and for the role you will continue to play in his life as his spiritual role models).

Saturday

We had family come for Elias' baptism this weekend.
Corbin handed out cookies.
Enjoyed the pool.
Picked some "bawies" (berries for those of you not up on toddler language)
I gave my brother Evan a haircut.
It even looked ok!

Corbin was so funny. He picked off all the m&m's from the cookies!

Getting Ready for Company!

Corbin was very helpful!

Brothers

I thought it would be at least a 6 months if not a year before these 2 would start to play together... ...but I guess they can play together already.
Corbin is so good with Elias! How simple love is!

a new "norm"

We have started our new "routine" this week. Joel working at the church and me (Emily) staying home with the boys without help! It's been going pretty good. There have of course been a few bumps in the road...but nothing to get worked up over.

Today though, I needed to get groceries and being our local store closes at 6 p.m. and Joel didn't think he would get back from the church by then...I had to venture out with 2 boys in the stroller to get our milk, cheese and bananas!!! Being Corbin didn't nap today and Elias had just finished eating (and spits up continually afterward), it was interesting! It took a pacifier, 2 packs of fruit snacks and a prayer (actually many prayers) to get us there and back without any major meltdowns....but we did it!!!

It seems so strange that we have 2 little boys to bring with us everywhere...it makes one seem really easy!

So this is our new "norm"...busier and more exhausting...but totally worth it!

Gone Camping - day 3 - 7/20

We woke up early for our worship service in the park!
The special music.
Corbin loves to get ahold of the camera and snap pictures...it is the perfect time for him to say cheese and get a picture of us!
And his shoes!

We had a potluck after the service and played games and swam!
Corbin loved the beach!
Very relaxed!
After everyone was gone, we went out for an ice cream treat across the lake!

Corbin played on another playground.

Sunday afternoon nap!
Mommy and her boys!
Our HAPPY family!

Gone Camping - day 2 - July 19

Elias really enjoyed camping!
Corbin stealing the cheese!
Corbin being cute, with cheese all over his face!

Gone Camping - day 1 - July 18

Our church got together with the church from Antler for a fun weekend of camping and worship. We decided that even though we would be crazy to take a 23 month old and a 3 week old camping...we would like to try out our new (to us) camper...so away we went! Our first snack in the camper.
Our first meal in the camper!
Joel lighting the stove!
Elias enjoying his cozy hideaway!
Our campsite! We brought along the "pig pen" to try to keep Corbin from running away, but found that we could just use it as a gate and he could have a lot more running space!
Corbin enjoying the pool! The water was freezing, but nothing keeps a little boy from water!
This is our camper!

Elias looking cute!

Making the first meal on the stove. It was grilled cheese sandwiches and baked beans! Aw, camp food!
Corbin enjoying his "cheese".
After we ate, we went over to the park. It was really made for bigger kids, but he enjoyed the slides!
Then before bed we made some popcorn. It is a snack enjoyed by our family often at home, but it is so much more fun when you are camping!
And finally, our first family photo...no kidding we haven't taken a picture of all 4 of us until now!

The night went a little rough at first. Corbin and Elias both screamed their heads off for a long time. Corbin and Joel took a drive to get him to sleep! Elias, well, he just needed to work some stuff out!!!
