What a week!

Well, I am just going to do a few quick updates and I will add pictures and videos later!

We had VBS all week and it went really well! We were hoping for 50 kids, but God blessed us with 52! It was a wonderful, yet exhausting, week!

Also, Grandma Cathy visited (and babysat) Corbin! We had a great time, when we saw each other!

Corbin took his first steps, but hasn't mastered it, so he still prefers crawling! Don't worry though, he's into everything whether by feet or by knees!

Then we drove to GF to meet the Heitkamp's! It was fun to see everyone again! And we got to eat some awsome steak!

And now....we are in TRF enjoying family! Ada and Percy are up and Betty and Leonard. It was nice to visit.

I am hoping to get some pictures up later today....but with the chaos, we shall see!

Corbin Clapping

RADA

In the wonderful town of Rolette we have a meal/meeting once a month that we call RADA. It is a chance to raise money for your group (like we did for the youth group) by making a meal. We got a really good idea from one of the women in our church to do a silent auction for some potted flowers. Mainly to liven up the Hall, but also the make a few extra $!
It went over really well! We had a really good turn out!
We tried to make it look somewhat spring-like!
We served ham, baked potatoes, and some other lovely foods!
Corbin even got to hang out with us in his port-a-pen! He looks so tiny!

Take the Plunge!

Our church is putting on VBS this year instead of hiring someone to come in and do it for us! We are really excited to see how many people have volunteered to help! Although we are really looking forward to it, it is a little nerve racking at times, too!
We had a great time yesterday starting the put up the decorations! Corbin really liked the air-up toys!
Where's Corbin?? He is in the picture, although he is just about the smallest thing in the picture!
He really made us proud! There are 2 steps up to the front of the sanctuary and Corbin when up AND DOWN them!!!! When we got home, he was so tired and dirty! You can kind of see the dirty sock! We didn't realize how dirty the tarp was, until we saw Corbin's fingers and clothes!!!

Discovering His World

He discovered something new! Can you guess what is it??
He now knows exactly where to travel as soon as he rounds the corner into the bathroom!
It is a great pastime!
He tries to get away with everything!

Mother's Day Celebration!

We met Grandpa George, Gma Janice, Auntie Ruth, Gma Cathy, Uncle Simon, and Uncle Evan to celebrate Mother's Day (and to pick up all the stuff we left in TRF). Gma Janice gave Corbin a slice of lemon and it was painful to watch (funny too)!
Corbin and Gma Cathy enjoying the day! Corbin got to hang out with Gma Cathy, Simon and Evan while Joel and I shopped!!!!
Corbin and Uncle Simon
Corbin is obviously impressed by his Uncle Evan's shades!!!
(The sun was in his eyes, so he wouldn't look up for the picture.)

Corbin and Auntie Ruth playing with Gma's flowers!

It was a really fun day! As usual, we got home really late, but it was fun to see everyone again!

Little Fan!

Corbin is a Cubs fan, just like his daddy! And being that daddy is going to be gone for Father's Day, he decided it was time to give daddy his gifts! So, Joel was pretty happy when he got his Cubs jersey and cap!
But, Corbin is sporting Joel's old cap in this picture.
He really doesn't seem to like to keep them on long!

New Way To Eat!

We found out that Corbin's highchair is adjustable...so he can now sit up to the table with us! I am really excited to only have to clean off the table, instead of the tray! He is so tiny sitting up there, but it is fun to have him right next to us!
His favorite food is Sweet Tator Puffs! They are right next to our salt and pepper shakers on the table! They are that important!!!
Corbin has tried mashed potatoes before, but we thought this time he might actually like them. So, can you tell what he thinks of them by his expression?
He most definitely does NOT like mashed potatoes!!!!
He has turned into such a big boy! He is drinking out of a sippy cup really well now! (After we spent a fortune on finding the right ones that he could figure out how to work...funny that they ended up being the least expensive ones!!!)

Trip to the Shrine Circus

We were given tickets to the Circus! It was so much fun! I felt like a kid again! We got to see elephants, bears, dogs, ponies, and all the acrobats and other acts!
We got to take S on the pony...she smiled the entire time! Then we bought a Hershey bar and it happened to have a sticker on it, so...she won a stuffed tiger (the one Corbin is sitting on below)!
Corbin was obviously excited!
He loved the tail on the tiger!

Farmer Corbin

Although he is riding on a green tractor...it's a tractor none the less! With how much fun this ride was....he can't wait to get out in the field with Grandpa this summer and ride on a real Case IH!!!
Or at least the little red tractor at Grandpa and Grandma's!!

Pictures From TRF

Corbin is pushing cousin Edon in the dolly stroller!
Edon is teaching Corbin how to honk the horn! Corbin really liked the car!
We were able to surprise Uncle Mark with a wonderful birthday party! Good work, Jenny!
Corbin really likes ice...and obviously straws, too!
Here are the cousins!

Good Times at Gma & Gpa's

This past weekend we went to TRF for a surprise birthday party for Joel's brother, Mark. It was a really good time! We got to see John & Jeannette and cousin Edon, who we hadn't seen in awhile! He has really grown! And we got to see Mark & Jenny and cousins Josie and Jake! Josie and Jake even gave presents to Corbin...and he really likes the books! He has already chewed one up and is working on the other 3! It was so nice to spend time with everyone again!

Corbin's favorite hobby now is tipping over anything that is stacked up! He loves to knock over books, blocks, legos, magazines and just about everything he can!

WHAT A GREAT DAY!!!

Today, I woke up super energized! Corbin and I played for over an hour before daycare came. Then we enjoyed a nice breakfast, played, Corbin took a nap, etc....then this afternoon Corbin got really grumpy! He is teething, so I understand a little, but he went overboard with the complaining! Joel made a wonderful supper and even brought Corbin over to some friends on his way to an evening meeting! So, now I sit, enjoying my free time from the men of the house!!! I suppose I better get to the laundry and dishes!

(We think we left all of our camera gizmos in TRF...so no pictures, sorry.)
