Christmas Day

After we ate our big meal for dinner, we all headed out to the sledding hill!

Here we are! Corbin loved sledding down the hill, he was full of smiles all the way down and while he was getting pulled up!

It took two sleds, but all the brothers got to go for a ride, pushed by their dad!

And here are the cousins!

The best part was not climbing back up the hill, but to go down, you must go up!

Then it was time to read the Christmas story.
....and peek at the presents!
And finally, open them!
All the daughter-in-laws got a wonderful gift! Don't we look great?
And finally, the family picture! It includes everyone...
Dad, Mom, 5 brothers, 5 sister-in-laws, and 9 grandkids!!!!

All Together Again!

We started our celebration on Sunday evening with a birthday party for Jesus at Joel's parents. All 9 grandkids sat around the table and colored placemats. Then we got to celebrate with some head gear! Corbin only wore it for this picture, then it was off!
The 3 youngest boys got a ride in the box! They were giggling like crazy!
And they also enjoyed some treats!
Sitting in grandma's lap, eating cheerios mix!

The Best Gift

We have been waiting anxiously to share the news...and we got confirmation of a heart beat and an ok from the doctor...so here's the news....ready!!!

Christmas came a bit early for us!

Our second little squirt is due to arrive July 4, 2008!

Keep us in your prayers!

Details...it has been a wonderful pregnancy so far! A little sickness, but not much. I am just extremely tired and so is Emily. We are so excited and can't wait to continue to share all the news! And yes, we are finding out the gender as soon as possible! (We are the kind of people that open presents way before we are suppose to.)

No More Pink Socks!

We have had some really sweet, red shag carpet in one of the bedrooms of our house! We liked it, until we realized that it turns socks pink! So, yesterday, the carpet guy installed nice, clean, non-pink-sock-turning, new carpet!
You can see the sample of the carpet in the video! Corbin got to see the inside of a closet for probably the first time in his life and he loves it! It's his fort! Too bad we have stuff that needs to go back in there! This room is now Corbin's play room, so maybe we will let it be a fort for now and fill a different closet to the max!!!

Snowy Scenes

Frost on the trees!

Christmas Baking

Tuesday night, we decided to do some baking!
We made spritz cookies!
And Corbin was a big help rolling out the dough for the sugar cookies!
A big help!!!
Cooking with a one-year-old is quite the adventure!

Bath in the New Bath!!!

After months of no upstairs bathroom, IT IS FINISHED! I am so glad that it works, too!
I love these pictures of him playing!
Discovering is more the word for it!
This is the face he makes after dunking his face in the water!
Sorry for the butt cheeks, but it's too cute!!!

Sledding

On Mondays, I watch a 5 year old girl, Sadie, and that is who is pulling Corbin! She hopped in the back and we ran some errands around town! (It's a small town!)

Sunday School Christmas Program

Our Christmas program this year was very cute! Corbin wasn't in it, but it was really fun to watch anyway!
It was called "Christmas Around The World", and it talked about how other countries celebrate Christmas!
Here's the nativity scene.
And here's the choir.
Emily also played in the "band" that started out the concert.

Quick Trip

Last Saturday, we took a quick trip to Grand Forks to spend some time with our families. Joel's parents and aunt and uncle came. And so did Emily's parents and brothers. Emily and Corbin were fighting colds.
But we had a good time! Corbin loved the ice cream truck, until he fell of the seat, head first onto the floor! (bump #1 this week out of 4!)
Corbin also got to open one of his presents! He got some Christmas stories!

Corbin and Bobby Banana

Corbin loves playing and wrestling with Bobby Banana.

Sometimes he will pick him up and dance around with him...quite funny!

Youth Christmas Party

You gotta love the White Elephant gifts!
The kids really loved playing the Dance Praise II Game. It is just like the Dance Dance Revelation video game except it plays Christian Music.

Tour of Lights

To get in the Christmas spirit (and out of the house), we took a tour of lights! These are a few of the homes that were decorated the "best"!
This couple go all out for every possible holiday! (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Valentine's day, St. Patrick's day...get the idea?)
This home is decked out for Christmas, it is a beautiful home!
And this is our home! I think it is the best, but that's just my opinion!

Pizza & Movie Night

Instead of Bible study on Wednesday night, we had pizza and a movie at the church! It was really good homemade pizza (thanks to Joel)!!! It was a great time to get together for good fellowship (before and after the movie of course)!

Gotta love Santa!

Last year, Corbin was 3 1/2 months old on our town's Santa Day. He had a really cute picture in Santa's lap, pulling on his beard and smiling! He even made it into the area newspaper!
This year was quite another story!
Santa was a very scarey, bearded, velvity MONSTER!!! Ho, ho, ho!!!
Within a few seconds, he was all out screaming!
But aren't the pictures great!

Hello!

Ornaments

Our Christmas tree has been up for a week. Every day, Corbin pulls off every red ball ornament on the lower half of the tree! He puts them on his fingers, in the ice cream pail, or in his truck.
And every once in a while, back on the tree!

Christmas Dance

Corbin loves to dance! He dances every time he hears music. Today we were listening to some Christmas music and he was busting all kinds of moves on the kitchen floor! He did it for about 15 minutes straight! I think that is the longest he has ever done one thing! It was pretty fun to watch! He has WAY too much energy!

Big Boy

This morning Corbin woke up on a very good side of the bed after a FULL NIGHTS SLEEP!!! It was great! He was so happy! He usually is hungry the second he wakes up, so it was kind of nice to play before breakfast. It didn't take long for him to start running around and getting into everything. We went to see were the little man was and we found him on the table, eating breakfast! He climbed on the table and helped himself to some crackers!! It was pretty cute!!

(I'm sorry there are no pictures, they won't upload!)

Playing in the Snow!

It has officially snowed in the northern part of ND! We only have a few inches, but it's here. And probably for good. We got Corbin all bundled up and went outside to play in the fresh powder.
Corbin loved it!
He was all smiles! He even ran around in the snow for awhile and didn't like the idea of coming inside!
Then we brought the snow indoors! I used to do this all the time with daycare and they loved it! We would put their gloves on and they would have a blast...
no surprise, Corbin loved it, too!
