Where's my sock?

I lost my sock...where did it go?

I'm going to get it!

I can stand up!(Just not walk or crawl.)

So proud that I can stand! A little wobbly but really enjoying the new view!

See what a big boy I am!

Standing All By Himself! (watch out uncle Simon)

Watch out Simon, Corbin's going to beat your record! Today Corbin decided that it was time to start holding himself up on the ottoman! He stayed in this position for about 10 minutes today (with the exception of landing in daddy's arms a time or two). He was all smiles!!

Here is Corbin with daddy, Sadie and Harrison. (Sadie and Harrison are daycare kids.) I love the yellow sleeper! He looks like big bird!!!
We haven't been up to too much up here in the Boonies! It has been snowing quite a bit, but not enough to cancel any events. I can't wait for SPRING!!! I have the worst case of Cabin Fever!

Six Months and Ready to Eat

Today Corbin turns 6 months!!! So here comes the party! He gets his first taste of real food! BANANAS!!!

He is pretty excited!

What was that?

Drink it down with some juice!
He did pretty good! He ate a few bites of banana and about .5 oz of juice. It was pretty funny to see the faces though! He didn't quite understand the process, but hopefully he will get it down sooner or later! (Still can't believe he is 6 mo!)

The Many Angles of Corbin

Corbin is sitting up nicely playing with his friend, Sadie.

He also likes to reach, which gets him on his hands and knees, heaven forbid! (Not crawling yet, but gets in the position to.)

Then he ends up on his side, crying, or making funny noises to get attention!
It has been pretty fun watching him explore his world! He is becoming more adventurous everyday! He really likes to grab for our food or our silverware when sitting up to the table with us. We will soon be growing eyes in the back of our heads because he is getting into whatever his hands can grab!

Pastor & Wives Retreat

Corbin acting super good during the retreat! He loves to eat those leaves!
Corbin was so good during the sessions! He let us get to enjoy the time together and get the most out of our vacation!

Joel, Corbin and I went to Minot from Sunday, 18th, until Wednesday, 22nd. It was so nice to get away! The retreat didn't really start until Monday evening, but it was nice to get there a little early to do some shopping and get some alone time before we enjoyed fellowshipping with all the other families!

It was so nice to not be the only pastor's wife around! It was fun to have other women to fellowship with that knew what I'm going through! It was just like being in Fergus again! I really appreciated all the conversations, advice and much needed relaxation! We got to catch up with those we hadn't seen in awhile and meet some others from the Western district of the Lutheran Brethren synod.

The sessions were on how to get the most out of a marriage (focusing on marriage in the ministry). It was fun to do the knee to knee time and look each other in the eye!

Our Vacation to Minot

Here is Corbin splashing around in the pool! He wasn't quite sure what to think though, it was pretty loud in the pool and lots of other kids splashing around!

Out to eat with mom and dad at Space Aliens!

We are on a much needed vacation!!! We are spending the next few days in Minot for the Western District Pastor's (and family's) Retreat!! We are staying at the hotel that is connected to the MALL!!! We are really glad to get away for a while and RELAX!!!

Corbin's Teefs (2 bottom teeth)

Here is a picture of Corbin's 2 bottom teeth! It really isn't the best picture-but you get the idea! It's amazing that we even got the little points in the picture, he likes to hide them under his tongue. It really is a goofy picture though isn't it?
Well, we didn't even realize that he was teething when we felt his first tooth. I thought it was just something in his mouth and tried to get it out! Within a week the other one poked through! At only 5 months!!!
Sadie, one of my daycare kids, says her boyfriend (Corbin) has Teefs!!!

Corbin's favorite toy

Corbin loves his excersaucer! There is a lion on it and he sticks it in his mouth and squeals and laughs! His new trick is vibrating his lips together and becoming a saliva making machine! He loves it, but it gets everywhere!

Happy New Year!
This is our Christmas picture 2006!
We have had a pretty chaotic 2007! Life in a church is never dull! On February 10th we had a Valentine's Banquet as a fundraiser for the youth group. It went really well! We had a great turnout (138 tickets sold)!!! The food was amazing and it looked so pretty with the lights and candles! How romantic!!! Although we had a blast, it's nice to know that we only have to do it once a year! (I don't have any good pictures of the banquet...too much going on to remember to capture the memories!)

Welcome to Our Family Blog

Welcome to our family blog!
Our lives have been filled with Corbin's firsts and here is another one, Corbin's first blog! Corbin is 1 week shy of 6 months! Hard to believe! He has 2 teeth and giggles like crazy! He is our little entertainer! We love him to pieces! Isn't he just the cutest? (We may be proud parents, I suppose you could say!)
Joel keeps busy with the church. He is the pastor at Ebenezer L.B. Church in Rolette, ND. And I (emily) have a daycare. I take care of 2 kids, Sadie (4) and Harrison (5).
