WAY TOO COLD!!!

I am just posting to let you know that it is -23 degrees!!! It is so cold neither vehicle would start this morning! Also, Corbin, Elias and I (emily) haven't gotten out of the house since Sunday evening so we are going a bit stir crazy! But I can't take them out in this weather! So, again we sit at home for another day! Anyone have any creative ideas for me? I am desperate!!! Something for a 2 year old (that wants nothing more than to go outside) to do?

Hey....how about making homemade playdough (or you could do edible playdough!) You could do a fashion show (dress up the boys in fun boy dress up clothes!!) Ummm.....you could do face paint....Little N likes that! Ummm.....you could do colored bath day! (Take a bath and put a color in there.....most likely the kids will turn that color but that's half the fun!!

Here's an idea...MOVE SOUTH. The playground equipment doesn't hibernate out here. Besides, we miss you. This idea will not be too popular with C & E's grandparents. :) Seriously though, stay warm!!!!! Maybe try shopping, we do that a lot. You can even pretend it's Target (for Mommy's sake). Walk around the house and shop for stuff, then go to the checkout where the real fun begins. Off to the car, fill the trunk, buckle seat belts and then you get to drive. In our house, this "game" goes on FOREVER until Daddy joins in and we start hitting deer in the road and then it becomes a totally different wild game...

Playdough was one of my ideas, too! Treasure hunts are always fun! One of our favorites was making one entire room into a tent with beds, chairs, doors... all with sheets and blankets over them. We would read, play a game and even eat meals on the floor in our tent. It was lots of fun!

Oh, I miss those days! Sigh... :o)
