Everyone tells me how fast kids grow up and that you should always be sure to write down the good memories....so here it goes!
Last week, Corbin was being a little stinker! (Believe it or not, he isn't always the most well behaved child.) I was getting pretty worn out and really felt like throwing in the towel! Then, Corbin saved the day! He came into the kitchen (after digging through all his dirty clothes) with his "I love Mom" t-shirt! I was almost in tears! It was just what I needed! A little reminder!
Here's a laugh from today! I was cleaning the kitchen and Corbin was playing in his room! When I went to go get the little guy, I was surprised to smell a stinky diaper....from the hallway! When I rounded the corner into his room, I found out that he got into his diaper pail! The diapers were all over his room! He got a good cleaning, I got a good laugh and all went back to normal!

Peace Gardens with no flowers!
We brought over some warm cookies and coffee to some friends in hopes they would let us in! Our friends have been gone for over a month!
We decided to make the journey up to the Peace Gardens! We needed to get some fresh air and see the sights! So we drove through plenty of fog, picniced under a shelter (with the hornets) and then walked in the rain!
We enjoyed lots of s'mors! We really got sticky fingers!
Corbin is straddling the line between Canada and the United States!
We were really glad that we didn't have to pay to get in....there was almost no flowers planted, just mounds of dirt! There has been lots of rain, so the middle section is flooded, we walked through water to get to the other side! We had a good time though! It was really fun to enter back through customs and try to explain why we were picnining in the rain!

Lots of Firsts, Seconds, and GOOD TIMES!!!
While Joel was at Annual Convention for our Church....Corbin and I had a great time with my (Emily) family! We made a lot of great memories! Corbin got to experience a lot of 1st's!
Simon taught Corbin how to play the guitar.
Corbin loves it when dogs (or humans) bark, the sound makes him giggle so cute! When we were at the mall, we stopped into a pet shop to see the puppies...thought about getting one until we heard the price!
We went to the park, too! It was so fun to watch him giggle in the swing. It was an old swing though, so you could barely here him giggle with the squeaks of the swing!
He got to ride the motorcycle!
Had a blast with Grandma Cathy watching the ducks! (Gotta love Corbin's expression!)
We stopped to smell the roses, watch the ducks, and see the water fountain!
Then we went to the Red River Valley Fair! It was so HOT!!! Corbin seemed to enjoy the carousel here! We ate lots of fair food, played some games, and walked around!
Corbin picked a duck and got a sword! He loves it! He plays with it more than any other toy he owns right now! What a little man!
He got to see the goats in the petting zoo.
Corbin got to experience his 2nd carousel ride at the Prairie Rose. This was a way different ride....faster, louder, and more lights! He was really freaked out!
We also went to the Chahinkapa Zoo! We saw a monkey with a cast!
And some "stupid camels"!
"What's up doc?" Corbin got to try a carrot from Grandpa Don's garden!
Corbin was so good at cleaning up all his messes, he'd dust-bust until the batteries died!
We got to spend a day in Fergus! It was so great to get back there! I miss Fergus so much! We didn't have much time there though, but we tried to make the most of it! We got together with my friend Erin and her 2 boys! They are so cute! We also got over to the Olson's! It was fun to see them, too! Then we went out to eat at the best Mexician, Don Pablo's! We stopped quick at Target (like it's ever a quick trip with me!!!)....and then headed out the Inspiration Point for the Christ Hike! I love it there! Everything in life stops! It is so relaxing! It was great to see all the people I had worked with and knew from Hillcrest and Inspiration Point! It was a great day!
Erin and her little guy
Corbin was really into the vacuum cleaner! He rode it, pushed it, and was such a good helper for Grandma!
Simon and Corbin
Evan and Corbin...just chillin'
And to end the trip, my mom and I and Corbin visited my grandma, Corbin's Great-grandma! It was nice to see her again.
Then, it was time to say good bye! It was hard, but it was nice to know that Joel would be home too! Although I made a few too many long stops, we made it home safe and Joel did too! (I'll be doing his pictures soon.)
Thanks to everyone who allowed us to stop by (or stay for a week)! It was great to see everyone and I can't wait to see you again soon!

Gardening 101
When I was a little girl, I spent a lot of summers in the garden with my grandparents! I always thought it was fun to get my feet into the freshly tilled soil, plant the little seeds, run between the rows, hide in the corn, and get out the ice cream bucket and shoe-string to put the berries in! That was the life!
We are very blessed to have a couple in town that also enjoys gardening and happens to have a tiller! They are letting us plant in their garden and letting us water and weed, since they will be away for a little while.
We got some plants....and some seeds!
Don't worry, Corbin got in on the action too!
He dug up all the onion bulbs!
And then tried to eat them! Who knew that letting a boy play in dirt means a big mess??? He had dirt from his head to his toes....and EVERYWHERE in between!
It was a really fun day though! We really enjoyed the nice day and can't wait until we get to harvest the crops!!

Corbin Climbing the Steps!
I heard a strange noise coming from our entry while I was making lunch today....and Joel was "watching" Corbin. It sounded like a Corbin! So, I went to go check. There he was he had climbed the steps (1st time) and was digging through our shoe pile! I couldn't believe it! Then when we got him to do it again...he was a pro!
At Gpa & Gma Davis'
Riding Comet!
When Grandma Cathy was up visiting, we only took videos because still pictures don't turn out anymore! This is by far the cutest video ever! He will wave hello to you! Enjoy!
