We're Moving!

I know it has been a long time since I have updated!  Our lives are a little more chaotic at this stage and we don't have internet at our house.  I have a ton of pictures waiting to be posted.

I wanted to share the news with everyone though.  WE ARE MOVING to Platte, SD!  We have been here in GF, ND since September 2011.  Joel has been working part time at FedEx and part time at the church as Youth Pastor.  After much prayer, we felt the Lord calling us back into full time ministry.  We are looking forward to having Joel home more :)

Pray for us as we prepare for this move.  It's going to be so good for our family, but a lot of work to get packed, moved and settled in.  Thank you!

Harvest

Elias trying on Simon's mask (upside down)
Corbin wasn't up for going into the combine this year, so he watched for birds instead.
Elias and Uncle Simon ready to go!
Don't tell Grampa, but Elias drove the combine!
Corbin was willing to get on the tractor.
Grampa took them for a ride around the yard.

Corbin is 6

iPods for the boys were a hit!  Best purchases EVER!
Both Corbin and Elias love listening to music!  It is nice not having to listen to the VBS music in the car anymore (although it was pretty good).
We had his family party at home on his birthday.
He is a huge F-M Red Hawks fan.  So we had a party for him at the last game of the season!  He got his name on the board too!  And it ended with fireworks!  He loved it!

Kindergarten & Pre-School

For the 2012-2013 school year, we are homeschooling!
Corbin is officially a Kindergartener!
Elias is a Pre-Schooler!

Both the boys have been enjoying homeschooling!  We are using My Father's World cirriculum this year.  Corbin started reading and is loving it!  Elias is Mr. Creative and plays with clay almost every day while I am teaching Corbin.  I (Emily) am really enjoying teaching the boys!  I think it is something that I have been called to do.  Being a Mommy is a lot of work!  But being a teacher is a lot of fun!  :)

CO crew comes to visit!

Shay M. made sure to scare us all with his special find...FROG!

Daffni and Sally

In April, we decided that it would be fun to have some chickens and ducks.
We went to the Farm Supply store and bought 6 egg layers, 14 butchering and 2 ducks.
And after one horrible event, we have one surviving duck (Sally) and one surviving chicken (Daffni the egg layer).

Two weeks ago, we came home from Convention in Fergus Falls and there were 6 eggs in the coup!
And we have been getting about one egg per day since!

Corbin keeps telling us how proud he is of our chicken.  Daffni is such a good girl!

Roy G Biv

Elias and Corbin really wanted to paint today.  They haven't painted in months!

Corbin is very excited to start school next week!
He will officially be a Kindergartener!
And I will officially become a teacher!
We are all excited to start the adventure of homeschooling!
