Lazy Labor Day

I know that Labor Day has just begun...but we are going to be lazy today!

The boys and I (emily) are watching tv, eating cinnimon rolls, and playing....while Joel sleeps! How long do you think he will sleep until? noon? two? We shall see!

Labor Day Camping

Joel took the boys camping on Friday and Saturday. He met up with his parents and M&J and their kiddos!

(Emily had to work...but would have loved to join in the fun!)

Corbin knew that he was getting a grill for his birthday. He has known for about 2 months. So when the day finally arrived the last thing he wanted to do was wait a few more minutes!

colorful cooking and canning

We have been enjoying some very colorful meals! This is my (emily's) favorite!

Mix zucchini, carrots, potatoes, green beans, yellow beans, broccoli, and onions.

In a pan, put butter (for a 13x9 I used half a stick of butter) on bottom. Place veggies in pan. Then crumble raw hamburger on top. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cover and let bake at 350 degrees for about one hour.

I spent a couple days canning beans!

Meet Betty Croaker!

This is what we know about her so far:

*she is a frog

*she likes to climb

*she don't have hair

*her belly is white

*she hops

*she has black eyes

*her throat goes in and out really fast

*she has 8 "fingers" and 10 "toes"

The boys were very excited to catch her while they were going after dragonflies, grasshoppers and crickets in the backyard! Corbin is very into learning all about her! I guess we have a pet!
