Red Envelope Day - March 31, 2009

So, my challenge is this:

If you believe that abortion needs to be stopped, send an empty red envelope to our President on March 31st. He needs to know that we DO NOT approve!!!

Thank you for fighting for the innocent lives lost through abortion.

Continue praying for America.

God's will be done!

Corbin and Dad go to TRF to see new cousin Lincoln!

Corbin got a camera from Grandpa Don for Christmas and since Emily took our good one to Oregon, Corbin became our (Joel & Corbin) photographer for this trip.

This is pics of me and cousins.

Grandma Janice always has rolls for us for breakfast when we come...we don't mind!

Corbin's new dog...Chi Chi II. This one will be easier to take care of and won't run away.

Corbin's new cousin Lincoln George Davis.

Oregon Part 1 (out of order)

These pictures are totally out of order...so I will start from here. Elias and I (emily) went to Oregon with my family over spring break. We hopped on the train in Rugby and were "all aboard" for 29 hours! Elias did pretty good considering he wasn't about to be on the floor at all during the ride.

The picture above is of the Spruce Goose at the Air Museum.
Elias was able to "walk" around a bit on the plane.
His first time in a plane.
The Spruce Goose from the tail end.
Elias saw the Spruce Goose and it was So Big!!!
We also spent a day at the coast.

This is a picture of Corbin playing with the train set in the train station in Rugby. (Told you they were out of order.)
I was so blessed with the opportunity to get together with Melissa and Carrie. Our husbands went to Seminary together. It was so refreshing to be with other Ministry wives!! Thanks girls!
Evan, Ben and Simon after paintball. Simon was an easy target! Evan looks goofy but blended into his surrounds!
Elias and Gma Cathy at the coast.
Mommy and her babe.

The trip was a lot of fun! It was so good to see everyone!!! Blessings to all of you!

Clapping

Girls Shopping Day

I (emily) was able to go (kid free) with two friends for lunch on Tuesday. Lunch was a little more than lunch though. We spent 3 hours in one store...an antique store! It was so much fun! When I entered the door I saw this pitcher and loved it! When my friend found the matching glasses in another room, it was fate! I think they are so fun! I left the store with a few other things....and lots of pictures of other items I had to leave behind. It was a great day away! Thanks girls!

Puffs and Stuff

New Family Photographer

in the words of Corbin...

Corbin hands me his phone and says "It's for you mom."
Mom: "Who is it?"
Corbin: "Just a guy."

On Monday, I was quickly catching up on my Bible study homework and Corbin was right next to me. He was coloring. He stopped and watched me. Then pointed up to the ceiling and said, "God?"

And it has begun..."Why?" This was our "why" conversation last night coming home from Lent Service.
Mom: Where should we go Corbin?
Corbin: Other way.
Mom: How about we go for a drive and then go home.
Corbin: Why?
Mom: Because it's almost bedtime.
Corbin: Why?
Mom: Because it's night time.
Corbin: Why?
Do you get the picture??? Finally we pulled into our driveway and he screamed "Church. Daddy, church."
Mom: We can't go to church because the church is closed.
Corbin: Why?
Mom: Because it's time for everyone to go to bed.
Corbin: Why?
Oh, it's fun! We got back and forth sometimes because I think it's funny and sometimes I stop him early because I just can't think of that many "because"s.

Nap Time

This is such a peaceful picture. It doesn't last long and doesn't seem to come often enough. I wish my kids loved to sleep as much as I do! I am REALLY wanting a full nights sleep!!!!!

Elias' Army Crawl

Daily Life

Elias loves to stand against the toy box/ottoman and play with his big brother.

Corbin got to help me 'fold' laundry this week being he wasn't in the mood to nap. So he rolled all the dish towels and wash clothes up and put them away! It was precious. He was so proud of himself for "folding laundry".

Elias got a little too comfy in his highchair.

Standing again.

Joel had a tie on the table in the living room and Corbin made sure to 'wear' it.

Tubing

We were invited by Corbin's friend, K, and his mom and dad, to Bottineau's ski hill to do some tubing.

Corbin and his friend K sitting in the tubes, ready for another ride!

We had such a great time. I (emily) had never been to a ski hill before. We were there for a couple hours enjoying the runs. Then we headed in to Bottineau for supper and the guys went home to watch baseball and K's mom and I went to Walmart and got to shop without kids hanging on us (what a concept??)! Totally forgetting about the time change we kept them up way too late...but if you ask me it was worth it!

in the words of Corbin...

March 6, 2009
mom: Corbin, do you need a diaper change?
Corbin: I did it the other day.

March 5, 2009
We were watching a movie and Corbin kept turning to me and saying, "That funny mom! That funny? Hahahahaha!"

Corbin's version of counting until today:
"1, 2, 8, 10"
Today:
"1, 2, 3" Yahoo!!!!
